A short, visible process

From bright page to useful copy in 3 steps

You stay in control of the outcome. The preview uses the same color transformation as the downloaded document.

  1. 1

    Choose a PDF

The file is opened in local browser memory. It is not uploaded to an InvertPDFNow server.

  2. 2

    Pick the result you need

Use exact inversion, a reading theme, or a light printable page. Adjust specific pages and image handling.

  3. 3

    Inspect, verify, download

Compare the page, convert it, and download only after the generated PDF can be reopened locally.

A preview that explains itself

See the trade-off before you convert

A full negative is faithful to the RGB formula but changes photographs too. Reading modes aim for a calmer page and can keep image regions closer to their original appearance.

Different jobs, different color rules

Do you want a negative—or a page that is easier to read?

The clearest improvement over one-button converters is making this choice explicit. “Invert” and “dark mode” are not the same operation.

R′ = 255 − R

Exact invert

Changes every rendered color to its mathematical complement. Use it for negatives, diagrams, and cases where you expect every color to flip.

Photos will look like negatives.
Reading palette

Comfortable dark

Maps bright paper and dark marks into a tuned reading palette. Auto image handling tries to avoid unnecessary changes to colorful regions.

Preview photo-heavy pages carefully.

Honest by design

What this version preserves

The current production path converts rendered pages into a new PDF. That makes appearance predictable, but it also means some original document structure is not retained yet.

Automatic handling is heuristic, so the preview remains the source of truth.

Selectable text, forms, links, and annotations
Current downloads are rasterized. Keep the original file for search and editing.

Private by architecture

Your PDF does not need a round trip to a server

Parsing, previewing, recoloring, assembly, and verification happen in your browser. The tool does not send filenames, pages, extracted text, or previews to analytics.

Questions worth answering

Before you choose a file

Will the downloaded PDF still have selectable text?

Not in the current raster export path. The visible page is preserved as an image, so text search and selection are not retained. Keep your original PDF and use the preview to confirm the converted appearance.

What is the difference between exact invert and dark mode?

Exact invert flips every RGB color to its complement. Dark mode maps a bright page into a chosen reading palette and can preserve colorful regions instead of turning them into negatives.

Can I use this with a confidential PDF?

The document is processed in this browser tab and is not uploaded by the converter. As with any sensitive document, use a trusted device and browser, and review the privacy policy for site-level services.

Can I convert only some pages?

Yes. Enter a range such as 1-5, a list such as 1,3,8, or choose odd or even pages.
